Today is labor day....and labor means work...so yup, I'm working today!!! 
I'm
looking at the bottom two pictures here and two things come to mind. #1
Why are the fans tearing down the goal post? It was ARMY! This is a
team that has a losing record every year and makes apparences in ESPN's
"Bottom 10" which is a joke football ranking the bottom schools in all
of America. ASU has never made that list. We were expected to win. I
was actually hoping to win by more than what we did. #2
Did Arkansas fans really think they had a shot of beating USC? What
were people like Lou Holtz, Lee Corso, JJ Ryan and my Dad thinking? And
no, Mustain should not have played the whole game. Johnson did a pretty
good job while he was in there. Mustain will be good...but he would not
have even came close to USC, especially if he had to play aganist their
first string. now for the Main Event...
FSU won last year 10-7 on their way to their 12th ACC Championship in 14 years.

When
you call Ritter Communications needing tech support, you are getting
the best tech support out there...by far. Who is one of these people
you may be talking to?  YA
DANG RIGHT!!! Too bad I'm stopping that position now. No longer will I
be sitting on phones doing tech support over the phones listening to DA
customers...now I'm Business Solutions Technician (aka Network
Technician) so I get to do support right in front of customers faces.
At least I'll be off the phones, off weekends and off holidays. But it
is stressfull trying to fix something or asses (just for you Dan) their
needs with the main person in the company staring over your shoulder.
JJ took a picture of his Poker table because he is so proud he spent 100's of dollars on this thing....  Beth took a picture of this 5th place softball team...because we clearly deserved it.  Our party tent at work for some celebration ...it was hot...very  The guy on the right is Jason...he just hired me for the new position, and now is leaving before i even start my now job. Great  Here
is nerd central if I have ever seen one. This group could easily become
part of the mobil Geek Squad for Best Buy. Get a load of the with the
socks and shirt...that is my old boss Sean.  ***************************
A Sunday School teacher of pre-schoolers was concerned that his
students might be a little confused about Jesus because of the
Christmas season emphasis on His birth.
He wanted to make sure they understood that the birth of Jesus occurred a long time ago, that he grew up, etc.
So he asked his class, "Where is Jesus today?"
Steven raised his hand and said, "He's in heaven."
Mary was called on and answered, "He's in my heart."
Little Johnny, waving his hand furiously, blurts out -
"I know! I know! He's in our bathroom!!!"
The whole class got very quiet, looked at the teacher, and waited for a
response. The teacher was completely at a loss for a few very long
seconds. He finally gathered his wits and asked Little Johnny how he
knew this.
And Little Johnny said, "Well...every morning, my father gets up,
bangs on the bathroom door, and yells -
'Jesus Christ, are you still in there!?'!"

It has been
almost a month since my last update. Sorry about that...been super busy
and haven't really had time to do anything.....

Before we get
started....take a look at the numbers above and tell me who is truely
better. And if one is "so much" better than the other, is he so much
better that he deserves tons of credit whereas noone mentions the other
guy? Take a look at the numbers and just think about it for a second or
two...
time for some short quick jokes...

JOE MAUER VS BRIAN MCCANN
 
How
many times do catchers lead the league in batting? Rare...very rare.
How often does the AL and NL batting champ each play the catcher
position? Never. It will happen this year. Here is my issue
now....everyone raves and ohh and awes over Joe Mauer...but nobody
mentions Brian McCann? Lets throw up some stats

McCann is only batting a few points lower (and nothing is wrong with
.352) and have more homers and a better slugging and ops
(slugging + on base percentage). Mauer has more RBIs but that is
because McCann has spent time on the 15 day DL and Mauer has played 14
games at DH (stupid rule).
And remember...Brian McCann is younger...

This is all I have to say about Trevor Hoffman....
 Thanks
for blowing it for the NL. Thanks for losing home field advantage for
the NL World Series representative. Way to lower that 10+ ERA in All
Star appearances. I was going to trade for you from JJ, but now all
trades are off. Sorry JJ, I am not allowed to have this guy on my team
now.
another topic that saddens me...
Back
in the 1970s Ted Turner started beaming his Braves team over the air
and was even given the monikor "America's Team" for a while. It got to
where they aired 150 games a year and had some of the most homer
announcers ever. And it was great. A
few years ago they made a decision to start scaling back the Braves on
TBS and renamed it MLB on TBS and temporarily got rid of Skip Carey and
Pete Van Wieren to create a more neutral telecast. Then they started
scaling back the amount of games shown from 150....to 90...and down to
70 this year. And now...this... TBS
agreed on a 7 year deal with MLB to show non Braves games for the first
time. It includes all the divisional series games started in 2007 and
26 Sunday afternoon games starting in 2008. It also includes showing
the draft and MLB All Star selection. TBS
will keep their commitment to show 70 Braves game next year but in 2008
the Braves become just another team in the new national package on TBS.
The new deal says they can only show a team 13 times per year on its
Sunday afternoon Schedule. Viewers
in Atlanta will still see Braves games. They were scheduled for 45
games in 2008-20012 and that will continue, with the majority of the
rest being on Turner South, Fox Sports South and ESPN. No more than 13
of these games, potetially less, will be shown nationally.
Meaning viewers outside of the Atlanta region will only see 13 and more
than likely less Braves games a year. This sucks hardcore. I'm going to
have to drag a video cable to my TV now and watch MLB.TV Ok
I want to address one more issue: Atlanta's postseason chances. Baring
a major collapse by the Mets the division is theirs. This leaves the
Wild Card. I found these statistics on some website and I will post it
here for the people who refuse to acknowledge the Braves are playing
excellent ball lately and think they have no shot at being in the
playoffs.
During the last week before the break, they
trimmed a 10 game deficiet down to 6 1/2 games. Here is how 11 teams in
the final few weeks of the season. This next section is copied and
pasted...
1. Los Angeles (46-42):
Dodgers are 10-12 with a 4.85 ERA and only 11 home runs in 22 games
since June 16, and have won just one of their past four series. 2. Colorado (44-43):
Rockies are 10-11 with a .258 batting average since June 16, including
three straight home losses to Arizona to close the "first half." 3. Cincinnati (45-44): Reds went 1-8 with a 6.69 ERA to finish half. 'Nuff said. 4. San Francisco (45-44): Giants are 11-12 with a .252 average and 4.52 ERA since June 16, and with one series win in five before the break. 5. Milwaukee (44-46):
Brewers are 9-11 with .244 average and 5.01 ERA since June 19, and lost
three in a row to the lowly Cubs to close the first half. 6. Arizona (43-45): D-backs are 9-23 with a 6.13 ERA since June 5. Six-one-three. 7. Houston (43-46):
Astros are 7-13 with a .242 average and shaky bullpen since June 18,
and lost three in a row to Central rival St. Louis before the break. 8. Philadelphia (40-47): Phillies are 7-18 with 5.72 ERA since June 11, and are expected to start selling off parts (Burrell, Gordon, etc.) any day now. 9. Atlanta (40-49):
Braves are 10-6 with .292 average and 3.73 ERA since June 23, and lead
the majors with .339 average and .564 slugging percentage in July. 10. Florida (38-48): Marlins' youth is showing; 3-7 with a 6.93 ERA in July. 11. Washington (38-52): Nationals are 8-18 with a 6.51 ERA since June 12, and are expected to shed some big salaries before the July 31 trade deadline. NOW...tell me how impossible it looks to be playing in late October now...
